Making Me Smile - 17/52



It's not really the flags in the picture here which are making me smile this week, but all of these ones.

From the tragic events in Boston it just makes me smile that folks want to come together to express their love and remembrance across cities, countries and continents for those so recently bereaved and injured and for those living with shock and fear.  It makes me smile that in some very small way I can be part of those heart-felt wishes.

    Every time I see some of these little flags my heart sings. I live a few miles from Boston and in my heart I am a Bostonian. Although my family was not personally affected by this terrible course of events, I know others who were. The Boston Marathon is a celebration of life and people from all over the world come to celebrate with us peacefully. These flags and the inpouring love from around the world is uplifting and brings the promise that the celebration of life and peace and love goes on. Thanks, With Love From Boston ... :) Pat
