Bee Blessed New Year

Bee Blessed is off and running with a new block for the New Year.

It's an easy peasy block to get us all into the swing of things after the festivities.  See?

So easy that it was no bother at all to stitch up a few more!

I used this block in my orange/brown/aqua quilt last summer and it really does look lovely when arranged in an alternating layout.  This little block is fabulous for using up all those leftover jelly roll strips or lengths of binding you didn't quite need.  If you'd like to make us one (or two) we're working them up in bright colours suitable for kiddies quilts bordered with white - all the details are on Judith's tutorial.

Our plan is to make up a few more small children's quilts to be donated to our local Mother and Baby HIV unit along with a number of other quilts that our busy Bees have already stitched up.  I think these are going to be great little blocks in the bright colour ways, and I look forward to seeing the fun quilts finished.
