You cannot fail to have noticed that Clover Wonder Clips seem to be one of the hottest bits of quilting kit around at the mo. Maybe one day my pennies will stretch to the real deal but I thought I'd show you my
For the last year I have happily foregone pinning my binding down and instead use these mini butterfly clips (sometimes called foldback clips) to hold my binding in place as I stitch around it. Seriously Sarah, you couldn't have posted this like a week ago?! I've literally just received my wonderclips through the door. Though I used a birthday amazon voucher to buy them so technically didnt cost me anything but still...mini bulldog clips, genius!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sensible alternative! Love that, and just may borrow that idea...
ReplyDeleteSqueeflail! I have wonder clips on my to-buy list for payday. No longer - you clever cookie!

oooo you are a girl after my own heart - I use a combination of as many of these as I can borrow from work and clothes pegs when I sew my binding on!!!! x
ReplyDeleteAm I weird that I use no clips AT ALL for sewing binding on?
ReplyDeleteCool idea! And a lot less painful than those pins too! Can't wait to see this finish! jxo
ReplyDeleteI am lazy I don't use clips for binding but I was gifted a pack of clover clips and they are fab for bag making. However their current popularity seems to have pushed up their price (Unless you buy on ebay/amazon.) as I discovered when I went to buy more. So I was thinking that small clothes pegs might also be a way to go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea-thanks for the tip
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I use those pop over hair clips, they're cheap as well! :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
